Danny Cuda

Danny Cuda is a fully registered Psychologist with the Psychology Board of Australia and a Member of the Australian Psychological Society.  He is also a registered Personal Trainer with Fitness Australia.  Danny has worked in a variety of contexts over the past 16 years; forensics, adolescent mental health, and private practice.  He completed his 4-year Bachelor of Psychology degree at James Cook University and graduated in 2000, and subsequently completed his 2-year internship in a forensic setting.  Danny maintains a high standard of practice via continued professional development and has completed the Master of Counselling program at the University of New England.  

Danny’s objectives are to improve the well-being of others through a systemic and integrated framework.  His primary focus is with individuals, couples and families; providing a safe platform to share their narratives and to move towards meaningful change.  He believes it is important to work with people based upon their needs and offer a service that focuses on their goals and objectives.  He has a strong commitment towards evidence-based practice, and passionate about working with individuals, couples and families who may present with:  depression, anxiety, post-trauma, personality and identity concerns, loss and grief, complex trauma, relationship difficulties, personal and work-related stressors, substance misuse, and adjustment.  The following theoretical approaches are part of the framework he integrates and operates within:  Person-Centred Therapy (PCT), Psychodynamics, Narrative Therapy (NT), Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Schema Therapy (ST), Internal Family Systems (IFS), Acceptance Commitment Therapy (ACT), and mindfulness.

Danny acknowledges that physical health and self-care play an integral role in our overall well-being.  Chronic disease and lifestyle choices can cause significant physical and mental health issues.  In his professional role and capacity, he also explores self-care practices and provides support to others by promoting an active and holistic approach to their well-being.

Sally O’Brien

Sally enjoys assisting adults with depression, anxiety, adjustment issues and those with difficulties with in interpersonal settings at home/within the family and at work. Sally has over 23 years of experience. Sally aims to provide an individually based approach to each client, taking into account their personality, family and cultural background and values, to provide an outcome that is workable and long lasting. She has a strong commitment to providing both an evidence-based approach in her work.

Sally is a fully registered Clinical Psychologist with the Psychologist’s Board of Australia and a Clinical College member with the Australian Psychological Society. She has worked in community and hospital settings as well as extensive experience in the private practice area. She completed a four-year sequence of undergraduate training at Monash University in Melbourne and is a Master of Clinical Psychology (James Cook University). Sally has worked closely with the military population (both current and past serving) and their families as well as those in the general community.

Sally practices in Townsville and can offer face to face and Telehealth counselling sessions. 

Justine Goddard

Justine is a registered psychologist, consultant and educator with 17 years of experience.

Justine works with adults and works with grief, anxiety and depression, trauma, sleep issues and other major life stressors and transitions. Her work integrates many therapeutic approaches. Flexibility, creativity and evidence-based knowledge inform her approaches to healing, recovery and well-being.

Justine has worked in the private and government sectors in both multi-disciplinary settings and private practice. From 2011- 2016 she ran her own Mindfulness retreat in Bali. She has tutored and lectured at universities, most recently at the JCU School of Medicine and Dentistry.

As well as individual counselling, Justine also offers consultation to both individual therapists and small groups.

Marlene Anderson

Marlene is a holistic clinical psychologist who calls Townsville, North Queensland home. Marlene felt the call at a young age to study psychology to support others in managing life’s challenging and difficult times. Today, with over 21 years’ experience as a psychologist, together with lived experience, Marlene brings this wealth of knowledge, skills and wisdom to her practice.

Nurturing and compassionate by nature, Marlene provides a safe and supportive space for clients on their healing journey. Therapeutically, Marlene integrates evidence based psychological frameworks together with holistic approaches to build self-awareness and empower clients to live meaningful and flourishing lives.

Marlene’s interest in the areas of mindset, performance and positive psychology have brought an added dimension of how best to support others to thrive and live flourishing lives; and to achieve growth, even in the face of adversity. Marlene is a proud Mum of 2 boys and military wife of 27 years. With her connection to the ADF, Marlene is passionate about supporting our current serving members, their families, and veterans.
